Freeze Tag:

Overview:
  • Teaches passing, keeping the ball close and getting away from other players
Set Up:
  • Make a 20x20 yard grid
  • One ball per player
  • One player is the designated "tagger"
  • All other players dribble inside the grid
Start:
  • When the coach says "go!" the tagger tries to freeze everyone
  • A player is frozen when they are tagged
  • When a player is tagged they must hold their ball above their head and spread their legs apart
  • To be unfrozen another player must pass the ball through the frozen player's legs
  • For the game to end all players must be frozen (the coach can help if necessary)
